In this demo, you'll learn how to set up Cloud identity and the organization node. Here, I'm logged into the Google Cloud console in a project that I've created using a Gmail account. In this case, the project is called Cloud Tech demo. And as you can see, it doesn't belong to any organization currently. By using my corporate domain name, I can create an organization to add this project to. To do that, we need to sign up for Cloud Identity. We start by going to the I am an admin menu on the left hand side and choosing identity and organization. On the identity screen you can see there is an option for us to sign up for Cloud Identity. We now go through a short wizard to sign up for Cloud Identity. It will ask us a few questions and set up our Cloud Identity free account. It asks us to tell us about our business. My business is called Cloud Tech demo. And it's just me. I click Next, and it asked me where my business is located. I am located in the United Kingdom. So I choose that from the drop-down menu. My current email address. This is used as a backup email address to contact you during the setup of Cloud Identity. It then asks me for my business's domain name. I've already registered this domain name with a domain name registrar. Google Cloud Identity checks that we can use this domain to set up the account. And it provides me with a warning, this domain has not been configured to send and receive email. This is okay as later on we will set up the MX records in order for us to receive emails from Google. I click Next. It asks me for my name. And how I want to sign in, commonly people use their first or first and last names for usernames. It's entirely up to you. It then asks me for a secure password. Do I want to exchange great ideas with Google, sure. Now we're nearly done with this short wizard. We go through a captcha. In this case, I've been asked to choose where the crosswalks are. Let's just double-check that I'm not a robot, and any crosswalks on this one, none that I can see. Great, it knows I'm a human. I can go ahead and create my Cloud Identity free account. This might take a short moment while it sets up Cloud Identity for your account. Now my Cloud Identity account has been created. By clicking on the Go to setup link, it will take me through the setup for my Cloud Identity business account. Now that you've learned how to set up Cloud Identity, you'll learn how to manage your Cloud users life cycle in the next video.
