I have been here at the university for about 15 years.
Before that I was in the private sector, worked for
General Motors, Eaton Corporation and a couple of Wall Street firms,
Credit Suisse, First Boston and Citigroup.
My passion is combining the private sector with the academic.
So I'm steeped in academics here.
I teach courses principally macroeconomics, stats and
occasionally managerial economics.
One of things you're going to learn about me as we get to know each other in our
Capstone Project is I bleed orange and blue.
I did my undergraduate here, I did my PhD here, before I went off
to the private sector and I've had to opportunity to come back and
that's something that I've really relished.
Our Capstone Project is going to combine,
in fact, some of the very courses that I teach on a regular basis.
Quantitative methods, or statistics, managerial economics, or
microeconomics, and macroeconomics.
It's going to those combination of things that we
work together to deepen the approach that we might use
in the private sector to really make good decisions.
I'm excited to work with you to see what we can come up with.
I look forward to meeting you in the live sessions and
getting to work on this project.
