[MUSIC] Okay. So before we can analyze data, we'll have to actually import some data to our sheet. Data comes in a variety of different file formats and there are various ways to import data to your spreadsheet. So let me show you a few ways how this can work. First way to import data is to bring it in from a file on your desktop. For the purpose of this example, I'm going to import data that I've already saved to my Pixelbook. Go ahead and download the movie data project file from the resources section. Okay, once you have the data set ready on your desktop, go to File and Import, click on Select a File From Your Device. And here we get options on how to import the file and its location. You can see that we could create a new spreadsheet, insert new sheets, or replace spreadsheet. In our case we want to choose Insert New Sheets to add the data set to our spreadsheet here. And go ahead and hit Import Data when you're ready to bring in the data. Okay, so that's an import. Now let's talk copy and paste. If you need to copy data from another source, Sheets makes it super easy to import data from other locations here into your spreadsheet. You can use the Copy feature to aggregate data from different spreadsheets, or source files, and paste. Let's say we want to grab some data from someone else's spreadsheet. Our teammate Mabel shared a file with us, so let's go find that in our Drive. Open Google Drive, but you can look for the document here using specific keywords, unless we know where it's organized in the drive. I know Mabel's sheet is in the Shared With Me section. Here we go. So I'll open the spreadsheet, copy the sheet data to your clipboard. Let's go back to our spreadsheet. Open File, select Paste. Thirdly, we can also grab data from an email. All right, we're going to open our Gmail now and browse from Mable's email that I just mentioned. She attached a sheet for us to import into our spreadsheet. So here we can download, save to Drive, or edit with Google Sheets. Let's go ahead and open the file in Sheets. We'll select our data and copy it to our clipboard. Open Edit, Copy, and let's go back to our spreadsheet. Open up Edit and Paste. Cool! So there's a couple of ways that you can import data to your sheet.
