AWS is a fleet of major many types of services and
we're going to focus on the most fundamental services from
AWS that include Computing and Storage and Messaging.
Compute is the type of services that the users will need to run
the applications and Storage is what we
need for the applications to store data and access data.
And Messaging is what we need for the application to communicate with one another and
even for the individual components from
the same application to interact with one another.
So these are the three most fundamental ones.
And this is a picture that I took from AWS
which lists all the major services that are available from AWS.
It is really many of them.
On top of the physical,
AWS Global Physical Infrastructure.
And we have the most fundamental one here Compute,
Storage and the Messaging link right here and we also have Database.
And then on top of this fundamental service system we can have
many other services provided by AWS including monitoring service,
auto scale service, and content delivery service and many others.
So, we'll study the most fundamental ones
in this class and then where you try to use them to do data process and data management.
When we use AWS,
when you work on your projects and homeworks,
try to use the resources that are offered from the Free Usage Tier.
So, almost all the major cloud provider have a free tier to give
you some amount of resources with some limited capabilities.
Resources in the free tier they are most likely enough for
our projects and try to
use them as much as you can so that you do not incur unnecessary charge.
