Hello again, and welcome to the final module
in this course, the Specialization Milestone.
I know it sounds so official, doesn't it?
But I promise it isn't as scary as it sounds.
You'll get more details about this in the Milestone Overview video.
But I wanted to give you a brief introduction to
the concept of Specialization Milestones first.
If you're taking the coaching skills for Managers Specialization,
and you want to earn your Specialization certificate,
you'll need to complete three milestones to demonstrate
your mastery of the material presented in these courses.
There's the one in this course,
a second one in the next course,
Coaching Practices and a third and final one in the Coaching Conversations course.
These Milestone projects are meant to check
your understanding of the concepts we're covering in the Specialization,
by giving you an opportunity to practice and
apply what you're learning in real-world situations.
The skills that you're building by completing these Milestones,
are skills that Coach Managers use every
day to get the most performance out of the people they lead.
By completing these milestones,
my hope is that you'll walk away with the confidence to say,
yes I can coach and help my team's performance improve.
All of the Milestones in this and the next two courses are peer review assignments.
That means that your peers will be grading and giving you feedback,
based on a rubric I've designed.
In turn you'll also be responsible for grading and
providing feedback on several of your peers work as well.
I've included a video called Tips for Giving Feedback,
in each of the Milestone modules throughout these courses.
I encourage you to watch it in order to learn how to
both accept and give constructive feedback.
But in general, please remember to be kind,
constructive, and professional in your comments.
We're all here to learn in
a positive environment and it's up to each of us to make that happen.
I hope you find these Milestone project's fun, educational, and confidence-boosting.
Good luck, I know you're going to do great.
