• Quando terei acesso às palestras e às tarefas?

  O acesso a palestras e tarefas depende do tipo de inscrição. Se você participar de um curso como ouvinte, você poderá ver quase todo o conteúdo do curso gratuitamente. Para acessar tarefas valendo nota e obter um Certificado, você precisará adquirir a experiência do Certificado, durante ou após a participação como ouvinte. Se você não vir a opção de participar como ouvinte:

  • o curso pode não oferecer essa opção. Você pode experimentar um teste gratuito ou solicitar o auxílio financeiro.
  • Em vez disso, o curso pode oferecer 'Curso completo, sem Certificado'. Com esta opção, é possível ver todo o conteúdo do curso, enviar as avaliações necessárias e obter uma nota final. Isso também significa que você não poderá comprar uma experiência de Certificado.

• What is a Teach-Out?

  Teach-Outs are short learning experiences, each focused on a specific current issue. Attendees will come together over a few days to learn about a subject or event and gain skills. Teach-Outs are open to the world and are designed to bring together individuals with wide-ranging perspectives in respectful and deep conversation. These events provide opportunities for diverse learners and a multitude of experts to come together to ask questions of one another and explore new solutions to the pressing concerns of our global community.

• Why is the University of Michigan creating Teach-Outs?

  The U-M Teach-Out Series is part of our deep commitment to engage the public in exploring and understanding the problems, events, and phenomena most important to society. Teach-Outs are just-in-time community learning events that encourage participants around the world to come together in conversation with the U-M campus community and faculty experts

• I see there are quizzes -- do I have to pass a quiz to complete a Teach-Out?

  We're offering these Teach-Outs on a platform designed for learning, so sometimes we take advantage of the platform tools. Quizzes are one way of helping everyone "get on the same page" about the topic, and be better able to discuss and ask questions. You can take the quizzes as many times as you want in order to pass, or you can move past them if you aren't interested in testing your knowledge.

• Does a Teach-Out have a fee?

  Teach-Outs are free learning experiences!

• Can I get a completion certificate?

  No, this isn't a course, therefore we don't offer a Course Certificate.

• How do I find out about other Teach-Outs?

  Check out other Teach-Outs on Teach-Out.org.

• Will more Teach-Outs be made available to the public in the future?

  Yes! Our faculty are actively working to develop new Teach-Outs. Check out upcoming Teach-Outs on Teach-Out.org.
