Lesley is Deputy Director of the SPHCM Summer School program. She convenes Management of Laboratory Services (PHCM9702), Leadership & Health Workforce Management (PHCM9701), and Foundations in Public Health & Health Management (PHCM9401). Her research interests are focused on three main areas: teaching, including developing and implementing innovative approaches to online content delivery that utilise diverse technologies; management and leadership in tertiary and health contexts; and women’s health, particularly maternal and psychosocial health.
She recently received a Learning and Teaching Innovation grant to develop school wide feedback capabilities in sessional tutors, and is considered a leader in developing novel approaches to blended and fully online content delivery utilising new and novel approaches to student engagement. She has also received a number of awards including a prestigious Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Citation award for her outstanding contribution to student learning and a Learning and Teaching Innovation grant.
