Professor King L. Chow is a Professor of Division of Life Science. He is Director of the Molecular Biomedical Sciences Program. Prof. Chow researches on a broad spectrum of biological science areas from molecular genetics, cell developmental biology, genomics of human diseases and evolutionary biology set on an experimental platform of model organisms. He is active in organizing courses to promote interdisciplinary research that integrates engineering, mathematics and biological sciences. He teaches foundation courses in life science, specialized graduate courses as well as general education. He has taught a dozen different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Hong Kong tertiary institutions, where he has been active in course and curriculum development. He was awarded the Michael G. Gale Medal of Distinguished Teaching of HKUST. He is currently Director of the Interdisciplinary Programs Office and Director of Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented at HKUST.
