Bio

Jeffrey Victor Lazarus is a Professor of International Health Systems at Copenhagen University and an Affiliated Professor at the Medical School, Porto University. He previously worked for three years as the senior policy officer on strategy, knowledge translation and communicating results at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Prior to joining the Fund, he spent ten years at WHO Europe in Copenhagen, where he worked as a health systems and communicable diseases expert. In his work around the world he has always sought to bridge the “knowledge-action” gap through targeted communication and knowledge translation. As a part of this effort he is the founding secretariat director of the new member-based professional society Health Systems Global and Chief Researcher of the European Commission funded CERCA project. In 2012 he was appointed to the GAVI Alliance International Review Committee. Jeff is the author of more than 150 publications.
