Bio

Abraham Bernstein is a Full Professor at the Department of Informatics (Institut für Informatik) of the University of Zurich. His current research focuses on various aspects of the semantic web, knowledge discovery,and crowd computing. His work is based on both social science (organizational psychology/sociology/economics) and technical (computer science, artificial intelligence) foundations.

Abraham received a Diploma in Computer Science (comparable to a M.S.) from the Swiss Federal Institute in Zurich (ETH) in 1994 and a PhD in Management with a concentration in IT from MIT in 2000. Prior to joining the University of Zurich he was on the faculty at New York University and worked in industry.
