Anne Shoemaker

Bio

Anne Shoemaker is a nurse educator at the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Penn, she worked in oncology critical care and hemodialysis at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and holds both Adult Primary and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner certifications. Ms. Shoemaker currently teaches at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing Science in the Simulation Laboratory and in the clinical setting with undergraduate nursing students using a variety of technologies. Her scholarly interests include psychological and social gerontology and the influence of life course on health for older people.
